My very first horse that I get to call my own. After riding other peoples horses my whole life, I finally live in a location and have the time, and am at the right place in life. She’s still pretty green, but that makes her that much better of a match for me. Plenty of room for us to grow together, and learn together. She’s 4 years old. Looking forward to many miles and many adventures with my new friend.

Her name is Dallas I just bought her yesterday in fact. My first horse. Taking our first trip to the ocean with some of the gals from the stable tomorrow. She’s 4, a little green still. Probably can count her rides on one hand. She is stubborn, but so willing and sweet. Truly a gentle, game girl.

One day my mum got a message. It was a friend of hers. She told my mum that she had a pony that I could share. This put a huge smile to face, especially after the recent upsets with my other share horse, Flick, who I no longer share! In two days we went to have a look at the pony… It was love at first sight!

In the paddock, I saw an extremely handsome, chestnut French cob. His name was Mikey.

I have now been sharing him for 2 months. He is perfect! I pay money for him put it is definitely worth it. I would rather a pony than pocket money any day!

Our relationship is amazing; he has such a cheeky and fun character! We are inseparable. once, I had to lean down to get a brush that I had dropped and he put his hoof on my back. He nuzzled into my neck. I found that really cute!

Mikey is special because he seems to understand me and he always cheers me up when I’m sad. I love him more than anything else in the world! We are inseparable!

This is me and my best friend Murphy. I have had him for a little over a year now and we are a match made in heaven. I started riding when I was 5 years old, and I started out riding English. But I moved to a new town and had to quit riding. I rode a few times, but I was lucky to ride more than once a year.

A few summers ago, I found myself volunteering at a very small stable that used horses for a camp and also did therapeutic riding for at risk teens. I fell in love with this little farm and my boss/mentor and I became good friends.

Last summer, I decided to start looking for a horse of my own and my mentor knew of a lady who wanted to donate a horse to the farm, but she didn’t need another horse. But she knew the horse was good tempered and she called to see if he was still available. And he was! So my mentor said she would take him and sell him to me for 1 dollar. Yes, 1 dollar!

His name is Murphy and he is the best horse ever. I love him to death. He is 17 years old, but acts like an 8 year old. He is in excellent shape and we are going to start barrel racing! He is my teacher for now, because I don’t really have a trainer, but nobody teaches riding better than a horse. We clicked on the first ride. God had him waiting for me from the very beginning. I thank God everyday for my precious boy Murphy.
