This is my son Alex, who is two years old. He is snuggling our 14yr Hanoverian Lilly.
Lilly joined our family in Oct. Her previous owner is losing her battle with Pancreatic Cancer. She used Lilly as a therapeutic riding horse. It was a very sad good bye when we came to get her. But her owner knew she was going to a wonderful home.
Lilly, at her new home with us, joins in at my Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Program I offer to the inner city kids/ teens of Denver, and anyone with various mental health disorders. She has been an amazing addition to the program, and quickly becoming a favorite with some of the clients.
Although this is bittersweet, we couldn’t be more blessed to have her in our family.
